TYLER HOLMES

Richard Hannay

TYLER HOLMES is an actor from Austin, TX. He is a senior at Griffin and has been a dedicated member of the theater community here since he was a freshman. Past productions include Romulus the Great (Apollyon/Aemilian/Odoaker), Twelfth Night (Orsino), and How to Succeed at Griffin Without Really Trying. Past productions outside of Griffin include Brighton Beach Memoirs (Eugene) and Romeo & Juliet (Romeo). He also plays the lead in the upcoming short film “Hello Ma’am”, which is set to premiere at the 2020 Austin Film Festival. The 39 Steps is Tyler’s first-ever radio play, and he is beyond thrilled to be a part of it.

ZARA WARBURTON

Pamela Stuart

ZARA WARBURTON is a fifteen-year-old sophomore hailing all the way from The Empire State. This is both her first year and first show at the Griffin School, and in Texas. Previous roles include Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables), Horatio/stage crew (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged), and more. She prides herself on her accents, voices, and impressions, so she’s thrilled she gets to put her skills to use in this crazy time. Zara is excited to participate in The 39 Steps with her second lead role, Pamela Stuart.

EMMA AYERS

Annabella Smith

EMMA AYERS is a junior who has been involved in productions around Austin for 10 years. It is her first year at Griffin and she is excited to be a part of many new and exciting experiences this year. Emma’s most recent role was as Mrs. Potts in a production of Beauty and the Beast, and she was an active participant in the theatre department at Brentwood Christian School for 5 years. She is looking forward to transferring her experience to a new stage and becoming more involved in the arts department at Griffin. Emma plays many instruments, including cello, guitar, piano, and fiddle, and she loves getting involved in community service.

TYLER CLOAR

Mr. Memory

TYLER CLOAR is a junior at Griffin School. This is his second theatrical performance at Griffin School, the first being How to Succeed at Griffin Without Really Trying. In the past, he has performed with both TexArts and Kids Acting. His previous shows include Into the Woods (Rapunzel’s Prince) and Les Miserables (Courfeyrac). Tyler is currently working on a production of Fiddler on The Roof.

DOROTHY STUKENBORG

The Doctor

DOROTHY STUKENBORG is a senior at Griffin School. This is her first time working in a Griffin production as an actor. Previously, she worked as a makeup artist for Griffin's Romulus the Great. She enjoys improv and musical theatre.

AVA MASTERSON

Ensemble

AVA MASTERSON is a junior at Griffin School. They have been a part of Griffin theatre productions since their freshman year. They have been in many productions since they were fairly young, including Jane Eyre, Murder on the Orient Express, and Twelfth Night. Their most recent roles include Lubov Andreyevna Ranyevskaya in The Cherry Orchard (which was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19) and Skylar, an original character created for a short film with Izzy Edwards.

PAYTON MCALMON

Ensemble

PAYTON MCALMON is a senior at Griffin School and this will be her third production at Griffin. In the past, she has had smaller roles in plays including Radium Girls and The Caucasian Chalk. In her sophomore year at Griffin, she joined the theater elective and was given the opportunity to play Sir Andrew in the schools’ adaptation of Twelfth Night. Then in her junior year, Payton was a part of Griffins' first musical, How to Succeed at Griffin Without Really Trying.

TORI RANSOM

Ensemble

TORI RANSOM is a freshman at Griffin School and she is thrilled to be participating in her first play at Griffin. She has absolutely loved working on The 39 Steps with all of her truly amazing castmates as well as designers. Although it is her first play at Griffin, she has participated in many plays in the Austin area. Some of her favorites include The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Hamlet. When she’s not on stage, Tori enjoys playing the piano, listening to music, and going hiking. She has loved playing with The 39 Steps and cannot wait to keep playing in the future.

CB GOODMAN

Director

CB GOODMAN is the Artistic Director and founder of Grackle Jack Productions based in Austin, Texas that specializes in creating new theatrical performance that incorporates disparate source materials, original writing, clown, bouffon, drag, historical events, and objects. This is her first time directing at Griffin School and is excited to tackle a live radio play. She is constantly amazed at the creativity of this cast and crew and their willingness to jump into a theatre production during a pandemic. She’d like to thank Akina Adderley and Ryan Young for all the tech help and Caroline Wilson for keeping things moving, and Meredith Baum who was the organizing wizard behind the website, always positive, and on top of everything

Producer

AKINA ADDERLEY is a vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, and educator. Akina is the Music Director at Griffin School and enjoys supporting all performing arts productions and presentations at Griffin. www.akinaadderley.com

MEREDITH BAUM

Stage Manager

MEREDITH BAUM is a junior from Austin, Texas with a passion for all things theatre-related. She has been active in the Griffin School theatre community since her freshman year and this will make it her fourth show with the school. Outside of Griffin, she is a member of the Zach Theatre Acting Conservatory as well as the Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble. Past shows she has been in include Twelfth Night (Viola), Romulus the Great (Princess Rea), Midsummer’s Night Dream (Hermia), Fiddler on the Roof (Chava), and more. She is thrilled to expand her theatre background by taking on the role of stage manager. She would like to thank CB Goodman for this opportunity and couldn’t be more proud of every single cast and crew member.

RILEIGH ANN RASPA

Foley Artist

RILEIGH ANN “RAR” RASPA is a sophomore and first-year student at Griffin. She excited to be working with sound as the foley artist for Griffin School production of The 39 Steps. This is her first time doing sound or any kind of behind-the-scenes work but she is excited to be able to show off all of the new skills she has learned. She was a part of many small school theatre productions such as The Long Winter and Johnny Appleseed when she was younger, but has since decided that she works better behind the curtain. She has enjoyed experimenting with cornflakes and clipboards and cannot wait for The 39 Steps to be performed.

LAUREL LARREW

Music Composer

LAUREL LARREW is a freshman and a designer in Griffin School’s adaptation of The 39 Steps. She has taken on the task of music design and composition for the show. Laurel has done a little bit of theatre before. She has done improv and has done plenty of work backstage. Ever since Laurel was a baby, she has been interested in music. She started taking piano lessons when she was in first grade and has started teaching herself to play the ukulele. Laurel is very excited to be working on The 39 Steps this year at Griffin.

ANDREW HELD

Music Composer

ANDREW HELD is a piano player, composer, and arranger with experience playing and writing in a multitude of different genres. He is most comfortable playing jazz, blues, pop, and R&B. He is also passionate about math, music theory, and the connections between the two. He gets a great deal of satisfaction from rearranging existing music in different styles, and has always loved sitting down at the piano and just playing whatever comes out.
